The Menorah, the Sign of Jesus, the Light of the World!

Hanukkah (John 10:22) starts tonight (December 14, 2025), and yes, Jesus (Yeshua) celebrated it. The Word Hanukkah חנוכה means Dedication.

Here is a brief understanding for those who want to understand this beautiful holy day that lasts 8 days.

The Menorah, the Sign of Jesus, the Light of the World!

And God said, “Let there be Light, and there was LIGHT.” Genesis 1:3

And God said to Moses…

“Make a lampstand (menorah) … Then make its SEVEN lamps and set them up on it so that they light the space in front of it. ... See that you make them according to the PATTERN shown you on the mountain. Exodus 25:31-40

“And the Lord Yahovah spoke unto Moses saying, Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto you pure olive oil beaten for the LIGHT, to cause the lamps to burn continually. Without the vail of the testimony, in the Tabernacle of the congregation, shall Aaron …keep the lamps (burning) upon the pure MENORAH before Yahovah continually.” Leviticus 24:1-4

The fight has been intense to keep this Light burning – the Story of the Macabees (the Hammers) the true Jewish people against the Hellenistic Greeks (the world) continues to this day. Is not My Word like a fire? says the LORD; and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces? Jeremiah 23:29

About 1400 years later from the time of Moses … Jesus (Yeshua) comes the first time to dwell with us.

The MENORAH pointing to the LIGHT of the World. And Jesus said, I AM the LIGHT of the World… John 8:12

And John saw this vision speaking to the congregations at the end of the age before Jesus (Yeshua) returns again..

“And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me …I saw seven golden lampstands (the same word here is the word for menorahs in the Hebrew language מנרות) And in the midst of the seven menorahs, One like the Son of man…His head and his hair were… as white as SNOW, and His eyes were as a flame of FIRE; … and His voice as the sound of many waters. And He had in His right hand seven stars… Revelation 1:12-16

The MYSTERY OF THE SEVEN STARS which you saw in My Right Hand and the seven golden menorahs; the seven stars are the angels of the seven congregations, and the seven MENORAHS which you saw are the seven congregations. Revelation 1:20

Again, the MENORAHs pointing to Yeshua, His Second Coming.

Although this is a very brief introduction to this beautiful mystery, the Menorah is a powerful symbol pointing to Jesus/Yeshua and His first coming as the LIGHT of the world and is a powerful symbol of Jesus (Yeshua) coming as the LIGHT that defeats all darkness the second time.

Keep the LIGHT burning My people, until I Come and Come Again. RETURN TO ME AND I WILL RETURN TO YOU.

I AM THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, ISAAC AND JACOB. Exodus 3:14

I AM THE GOD OF ISRAEL (The God of Israel is declared over 300 times in the Bible). (e.g. Ezekiel 9:3)

  A LIGHT to bring Revelation to the Gentiles and the Glory of Your people ISRAEL.” Luke 2:32

THE MENORAH – A POWERFUL Symbol to heal the breach – the Menorah from Moses (Exodus) all the way to Revelation. It’s there, hidden, yet it’s there. The word candlestick is actually always the word Menorah מנורות in the Bible.

As we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus (Yeshua), again

I hear Yahovah God say, “Light the Menorah in the House of God”.

Celebrate His birth and the pouring out of the Holy Spirit after His resurrection, to make us like Him.

Foundation Restored. Yeshua, Our Jewish Messiah, the true foundation (I Corinthians 3: 11), there is no other.

Yahovah, God of Israel brings great LIGHT to His people with His Word from Genesis to Revelation and we see it in the sign of the Menorah.

We are building the Tabernacle of David again (Acts 15:12-18) , Jewish and Gentile believers together in Yeshua!

A Menorah should stand in every House of God, everyone who says they love the Light of the World, Yeshua, our Jewish Messiah.

The Cross reminds us the excruciating price Yeshua paid for us to be eternally changed and made brand new. The menorah signifies the Holy Spirit poured out that seals us forever as His (it is the upper room).

Once again my heart cries out:

Light the Menorah.

Heal the Breach.

 Let us REJOICE in obedience to His Word!

And pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the Salvation of Israel!
